Enviromental Evaporative AIR COOLERS from Home appliance

evaporative air cooling system

Eco-friendly

Evaporative air coolers

designed by nature.....evaporative cooling systems(duct evaporative air coolers) was inspired from the natural process of a sea breeze.
The sea is fresh because hot air is moved by the wind across the surface of the water, causing some of that water to evaporate and absorb heat.
The air is cooled by this evaporation process to become a refreshing breeze , producing a source of clean, fresh and healthy air. Evaporative cooling systems provide a constant flow of natural, cool, clean, fresh air without the need to use gases harmful to the environment (CFC's etc). Evaporative Cooling has the following benefits over conventional cooling and climate control systems:
  • Introduces 100% filtered, fresh and cool air from outside.
  • doors and windows can stay open unlike fully air conditioned spaces.
  • Maintains some moisture in the air, particularly beneficial to those people who suffer from allergies and asthma.
  • Reduces fumes, particles in suspension and odours.
  • Cooling capacity efficiency is increased as the ambient temperature rises.
  • Low power consumption and operating costs, up to 80% more economical than conventional air conditioning equipment.
  • Low power consumption and operating costs, up to 80% more economical than conventional air conditioning equipment.
  • Reduces static electricity.
  • Normally these types of evaporative cooling systems are around 20-25% of the capital cost of air conditioning.
Evaporative cooling systems are a perfect solution for Large factories, industrial complexes, printing works, plastics and textile industries, laundries, farms and glasshouses, factory units, foundries and bakeries etc. According to the size of the project, evaporative cooling systems are fitted to the exterior of the building, either on the roof, the side walls or at ground level. A system of ductwork and air diffusers is then used to introduce the cool air precisely where it is needed.

The Problem -> As outside temperatures increase, buildings with inadequate ventilation become unbearably hot and stuffy. The problem is compounded in premises into which sunlight can penetrate causing a hothouse effect. Not only does this effect staff morale, but can lead to absenteeism, accidents as well as reduce productivity.
                                     001.jpg

Air conditioning might seem the obvious solution, but it is expensive to install and maintain and requires doors and windows to be kept shut.
The Solution -> Based on 30 years experience, the technological advancement in

evaporative coolers

has set new standards in evaporative air cooling by providing improved air delivery and high cooling capacity.

                                            02.jpg

Environmentally friendly, the

evaporation air cooler

is economic to install, cost effective to run, and in addition to consuming less energy than conventional air conditioning systems enables doors and windows to be left open. Because a constant natural flow of 100% fresh air is drawn into the building and then expelled, odours, germs and airborne contaminants are removed and not recirculated around the buildling due to the airflow exchange by Swamp air coolers.

What should you look for when you want to buy Evaporative coolers?

What should you Look for when you Want to Buy Evaporative Coolers?

Thus, you have decided that you need an evaporative cooler to end your suffering from the scorching heat of the summer air. However, you cannot just pick the first air cooler you see on the product display of an appliance store or on the product catalog of an online store. A wide variety of evaporative air coolers are offered in the market, and some units may suit your specific cooling needs.
Before you start your
search for the coolest evaporative cooler in town, you have to make sure that the climate in your area is suitable for evaporative cooling. It is because evaporative coolers are ideal only in dry or low-humidity areas. If you live in a very humid area, an evaporative air cooler may only make the air more humid.

What should you look for when you want to buy Evaporative coolers?

  1. Size. The proper size of the air cooler for maximum cooling depends on the size of your home. Look for the CFMs of evaporative coolers and see which ones match the size of your room. CFM (cubic feet per minute) refers to the amount of air that an evaporative air cooler can distribute within your house. For a 1,500-square foot home, 6,000 CFM is necessary.
  2. Cooling Effect. Choose an air cooler with a large cooling effect, even if you are going to use it to cool a small room.
  3. Airflow. Check the cooler if it blows enough air. Good airflow is crucial to effective cooling because a great amount of air is needed to get rid of heat. If an air cooler cannot provide that, then it is not worth considering.
  4. Noise Level. Evaporative coolers naturally produce noise during operation. If you prefer a noiseless evaporative cooler, opt for a large one that can blow a reasonable amount of cool air. However, they cost a bit more than smaller ones.
You can ,as far as the above-mentioned features are conconcerned, surely buy evaporative coolers which satisfy u as well as keep u in a cool spot in the heatweaving weather.

What is an Evaporative Cooler?

An evaporative cooler (also swamp cooler, desert cooler, and wet air cooler) is a device that cools air through the evaporation of water.
Evaporative cooling differs from typical air conditioning systems which use vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycles. Evaporative cooling works by employing water's large enthalpy of vaporization. The temperature of dry air can be dropped significantly through the phase transition of liquid water to water vapor, which requires much less energy than refrigeration. In extremely dry climates, it also has the added benefit of conditioning the air with more moisture for the comfort of occupants. Unlike refrigeration, it requires a water source, and must continually consume water to operate.

In the United States, the use of the term swamp cooler may be due to the odor of algae produced by early units.Air washers and wet cooling towers use the same principles as evaporative coolers but are optimized for purposes other than cooling the air inside a building. For example, an evaporative cooler may be designed to cool coils of a large air conditioning system to increase its efficiency.

Mini air cooler
Evaporative cooling is especially well suited for climates where the air is hot and humidity is low. In the United States, the western/mountain states are good locations, with evaporative coolers prevalent in cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, El Paso, Tucson, and Fresno where sufficient water is available. Evaporative air conditioning is also popular and well-suited to the southern (temperate) part of Australia. In dry, arid climates, the installation and operating cost of an evaporative cooler can be much lower than that of refrigerative air conditioning, often by 80% or so. However, evaporative cooling and vapor-compression air conditioning are sometimes used in combination to yield optimal cooling results. Some evaporative coolers may also serve as humidifiers in the heating season.

In locations with moderate humidity there are many cost-effective uses for evaporative cooling,
in addition to their widespread use in dry climates. For example, industrial plants, commercial kitchens, laundries, dry cleaners, greenhouses, spot cooling (loading docks, warehouses, factories, construction sites, athletic events, workshops, garages, and kennels) and confinement farming (poultry ranches, hog, and dairy) often employ evaporative cooling. In highly humid climates, evaporative cooling may have little thermal comfort benefit beyond the increased ventilation and air movement it provides.

Air Flow from Evaporative Cooler

Evaporative Cooler Air Flow

An evaporative cooler is basically a large fan with water-moistened pads in front of it.
The fan sucks the warm air from outside through the moistened pads and blows the resulting cooled air through your office or home.Water is supplies to the pads through small “supply” lines. This water then soaks the pads and drizzles through them to collect at the bottom of the cooler. A small water pump then circulates the water back to the top and the process continues
As water is being continually lost through evaporation, it is essential that you have a good float valve (similar to the one used in toilets) that adds water to the evaporative cooler when levels start to get low.
A large fan then extracts air through the pads and evaporation cools the temperature of the air, which is then blown through your home cooling it.
Evaporative Cooler Diagram
TIP – To get you evaporative cooler to work effectively, the cooled air must be allowed to leave you home. So by strategically choosing which windows you leave open, you can direct the flow of cool air through your home or other building.

Is An Evaporative Cooler Affordable and Energy-Efficient?

Is An Evaporative Cooler Affordable and Energy-Efficient?

These days, a lot of people are interested in evaporative cooling.  This is because an evaporative cooleris the most affordable and most energy-efficient cooling systems in the market today.
But what makes evaporative coolers so affordable and energy efficient?  In order to find out, you would have to learn about how they work.
The mechanics of evaporative coolers are simple.  Basically, they use to main components in the cooling process: One is water; and the second is ventilation.  The first component is water.
Water is the main and most important part of this system.  Water is what makes the system cool.  In an evaporative cooler, water is chilled to about 5 degrees Celsius to 8 degrees Celsius.  As the name suggests, the water is evaporated and turned into fine vapours.  These, in turn, wait for distribution.  Here is where the ventilation comes in.  This usually takes the form of a blower or a fan.  Basically, it’s job is to distribute the vapours/cool air.  It doesn’t necessarily have to come into direct contact with the water, but it can too.

Evaporative Cooler Affordability

The reason why evaporative systems are so affordable is because they are not complicated mechanically and engineering-wise.  As you read above, the process and functions of an evaporative cooler is very simple, unlike traditional air conditioning units.  The reason why they are so energy efficient is because the work process is so simple.  Consumption is not measure in horsepower so that in itself explains everything.
Aside from the above advantages, evaporative cooler systems also have other more passive benefits.
These types of systems are actually endorsed by Go Green campaigners.  This is because they are environment-friendly.  This is because they do not use refrigerants like CFCs and HCFCs for the cooling process.  Evaporative systems are the best─ affordable, energy-saving and earth friendly.

Why an Air cooler (swamp cooler or spot coolers)?

Why an Air Cooler? (Also Known as a Swamp Coolers or Spot Coolers)
Why an Air cooler swamp cooler or spot coolers

These free standing Portable Air Coolers (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) work by endothermic reaction (a reaction that consumes heat). They use a fan to draw in hot, dry air through a wetted material. As the hot dry air is pulled through the wetted material, the dry air absorbs moisture through evaporation which absorbs heat and the air is cooled and becomes more humid. The DRYER the input air, the more effective it is. If the air being drawn through the pads is humid (Above 58%) there will be no cooling effect because humid air will not absorb moisture through evaporation because it is already wet.

These Evaporative Portable Air Coolers (Evaporative Swamp Coolers) , Humidifiers, and Fan are versatile, lightweight and economical way to cool your personal air by cooling the air that goes through the unit down by  10°F to 15°F cooler than the ambient air temperature. The Coolers easily roll from room to room for use anywhere in your house or office.

Unlike a typical fan, which simply blows the ambient air around with no temperature change at all, the free standing Portable Air Cooler (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) can cool the ambient air that goes through the unit down by 10°F to 15°F and adding Ice for even extra air cooling!

In no way does free standing Portable Air Coolers (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) do the work of an air conditioner. It WILL NOT dehumidify the air nor will it cool a room by reducing the ambient air temperature of a room like an air conditioner. They simply are a better air blower than a typical fan and reduce the air temperature through the unit down 10 °F to 15 °F. They are for personal cooling!

The free standing Portable Air Cooling  (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) is environmentally friendly because they do not use freon. These Portable Air Coolers (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) have casters which allow it to be easily moved from room to room with no heavy lifting and uses 100 Watts!.

These free standing Air Coolers (Evaporative Swamp Cooler) are great for use in small apartments, condos, offices , RV's or any area that an air conditioner can not be used or can not reach.

Amongst all air cooling technologies, evaporative air cooling is the only method of natural cooling of Air. Evaporative air cooling works on the principle of 'heat absorption' by moisture/water evaporation. The evaporative air cooling draws exterior air into special cooling pads soaked with water where the air is cooled by evaporation and then circulated into the space to be cooled. Evaporative air cooling is the most cost effective method of air cooling.

How Do Eco-friendly Evaporative Air Coolers Work?

How Do Eco-friendly Evaporative Air Coolers Work?

AS The temperature of the remaining water drops , water is evaporated by the moving air.  Heat and energy is carried away by the faster moving molecules as water in the Air Cooler  evaporates.when the water evaporates the air near the surface increases its relative humidity and would slow down the evaporation if it was not blown away and replaced with air with a low relative humidity. The wind from the Evaporative cooler  fan increases evaporation and the rate the energy leaves the liquid water.

Since
the energy in the remaining water is dropping so too is the temperature of the remaining water. The same thing happens when you lick the back of your hand and blow on it. Water is pumped over porous pads where air is drawn through causing the water to evaporate and cool the air.

The result is that hot dry air is converted into cool moist air that is blown into a house for cooling. The process works best when there is a good flow of air and the relative humidity of the incoming air is below 30%. The efficiency (cooling effectiveness) goes down with an increase in the relative humidity of outside hot air.

In
many location where there is low relative humidity, one effective and inexpensive means to cool houses and businesses is with evaporative coolers. These use a fan to draw hot, dry outside air through water wetted pads where evaporation of the water cools the air. The cool moist air is then blown into the house and distributed for cooling. This experiment allows you to input the outside air relative humidity and the outside air temperature to obtain the temperature of the air that is blowing from the Air Cooler  into the house.

Some types of air coolers, provide comfort to people with allergies and respiratory problems, as well as elderly people and children. Some swamp coolers are ideal for people allergies and other respiratory conditions. These such coolers draw exterior air into the building. Once inside, the air is cooled by evaporation and then circulated. This activity provides a constant supply of filtered, fresh air. This process is different from air conditioning units, which recirculate old air. Air coolers draw moisture into dry indoor air, increasing humidity while lowering the air temperature.
2. Environmentally Friendly.
Powered by the natural process of evaporation, evaporative coolers do not rely on extremely large amounts of electricity and chemical-based coolants, like Freon. Swamp cooler can provide energy savings and environmental benefits that can potentially lower your indoor air temperature by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Swamp coolers use about a quater of the energy used by an air conditioner or central air unit. Even the most complex residential swamp cooler system will uses significantly less energy than an air conditioning unit.
3. Save Money on Your Cooling Bill.
If your goal is to save money on your utility bills and reduce your cooling costs, then an evaporative cooler or swamp cooler may be for you. An evaporative cooler, such as the Schaefer Waycool 1/3 HP Oscillating Cooler uses only a quarter of the energy used by refrigerated air conditioners. the cost to operate an evaporative air cooler or swamp cooler is relatively cheaper than other cooling methods.
4. Affordable.
An air cooler costs only a fraction of the cost of a central air unit, ranging from $100 for a portable unit to $3,000 for a large industrial unit. Additionally, the low cost of installation, is about half the cost of installing a central air unit.
5. Easy to Install.
Because of its simple design, it is fairly easy and inexpensive to install an evaporative cooler.
6. It's Also a Humidifier.
Evaporative air coolers also have the ability to humidify dry air, as wet pads are used to cool the air. With this, you will be glad to know that your furniture and fabrics will be kept well moisturized too. This will definitely help maintain the durability and lifespan of your furniture.
7. Easy Maintenance.
Easy maintenance is one of the best reasons for getting an evaporative cooler. All coolers come with refillable water tanks which are easily accessible. A full tank lasts about 10 hours.
