一周陰雨，殆至週末，天高氣爽。連續勞累了六日之後難得偷得半日閒情，適逢友人再三邀請至其郊外家中做客，便盛情難卻之，遂欣然前往。

天已將午，方至友人家。但見其四周草木鬱鬱蔥蔥，大院寬敞明亮，室內窗明幾淨，

相較於市內蝸居之窘狀，高樓林立鋼筋水泥之灰暗，真是別有一番洞天.也讓我這個長期囿於隅，躲進小樓之人往日天體，心地間霎那寬敞了許多。舉目四望，隱隱然有極目粵天闊之感。

友，本地之人，性情豪爽，於我結識與聚會之上。自上次一別，依然有半年之餘。見面之後不免唏噓一番“時光如箭，歲月如梭，木猶如此，人何以堪”。之後，便見過伯母，伊，江浙之人，年近六旬，卻耳清目明，滿頭烏髮，令人好生讚歎。更為叫絕的是，伯母還燒得一手好菜，沒談至此，友便眉飛色舞，滿身得意之色。禁不住友此番情表，我便忝身向請伯母牛刀小試，以滿口舌之娛。伯母便滿心歡喜去張羅。

約幾刻鐘罷，飯菜張羅完畢，滿桌杯盤之間，只見佳餚橫陳，五味齊全，滿目皆可餐之秀色。見此美色，
